  The Athénée de Luxembourg is a Luxembourgish classical high school. The Athénée offers all classes from the 7th to the 1st and all sections of Luxembourg's classical secondary education, namely sections A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. Note the special program of the section A, with mathematics classes until 1st class. For more information see the special page of section A. In addition the Athenaeum is IB World School and offers 7 years of international studies leading to the International Baccalaureate Diploma. Founded in 1817 in the buildings of the former Jesuit college in the city center, he moved in 1964 to a new site in Hollerich, boulevard Pierre Dupong. In 2012, the renovation of the new Athenaeum began and ended at the end of 2016. Meanwhile, the high school had moved in the host structure also located on the Geeseknäppchen Campus a few steps from the new Atheneum. On January 9, 2017, the move to the completely renovated building on Pierre Dupong Boulevard took place. After 4 years of renovations the Athénée was inaugurated on Monday, April 24, 2017 in the presence of His Royal Highness Grand Duke Henri.
